Touch the Miracle

“Enlightenment is always there. Small enlightenment will bring great enlightenment. If you breath in and are aware that you are alive-that you can touch the miracle of being alive-then that is a kind of enlightenment. Many people are alive but don’t touch the miracle of being alive.” Thich Nhat Hanh

With the stress of everyday life of driving in rush hour traffic, to sick children at home. It becomes hard to keep yourself centered. Sometimes we forget to love the ones around us and even ourselves. We forget to think before we speak and we end up snapping at the people around us. We pollute our bodies with foods we cannot digest well and bring toxins into our bodies we cannot process. We get hurt from what others think and say about us. We forget to Love. We all have a choice to speak from LOVE or from EGO, most of the time we choose EGO. But when it comes to our lives we will be so much happier if we could learn to speak from LOVE. How do you fight someone that is sending you nothing but loving energy and loving words? If someone hurts you, instead of snapping back, try to understand why they feel and say what they do. Most of the time it is not you that is the reason for this and all that is needed is an understand response. You will not only feel better but you could also turn the other person’s day around.

I believe that this is true. Enlightenment is always there,The way i see it is that we get caught up in this world. As human we have needs and as we grow in society. We sometimes forget what our actual needs are. There is so much marketing that we see. That we sometimes really and truly believe that we need certain products. This makes us want things we necessarily don’t need and these needs make us do things we sometimes don’t like. Like getting a job that pays more in order to be able to get the house, car, tv, ipod, ipod phone, mac computer, that we want. By having these needs we get caught up in this and we generally want more. As time progresses we become less satisfied with life and our needs for other things expand. Often forgetting the marvelous miracle of just being alive. We forget to breath, to smile, and to love ourselves and one another. We forget to take time each day for ourselves and to realize the miracle of being alive. I believe work is very important for a human being, and getting a job that one loves is ideal in order to grow as the person one is. This is what we really need. A life where we are aware that we have more in common with each other than anything else this common factor is life itself.

I never thought that just breathing would make such a difference in how I connect with my body. The release that the muscles get with my yoga breathing is amazing. Being so huge and pregnant the thought of being able to relax and release through yoga has been such a blessing.

Enlightenment is always there, but many people including myself tend to take it for granted due to our busy schedules. Schools, jobs, bills, children, families, etc. are part of our lives, and those are the reasons why we live. However, we tend to be so busy with our work, and tend to be unappreciated of what we have. Some people are not satisfied with their lives, because they are too busy competing for all the goods that society offers,. In my opinion, regardless of how busy your lifestyle is, make time to appreciate what you currently have, and enjoy everything you have accomplished so far. That way, you won’t feel burden with all the things you have to do for the day, but look on the bright side of enjoying your life by doing the things that keep you alive.

WOW! This is a really great quote. As I lay here, feeling completely run down and achy, this has given me a small lift and I really appreciate that. Life can absolutely take you for a ride, if you let it. The key is to take back as much control as possible, breath in and out and enjoy that ride, whether you hold the reigns or not. Tricky business sometimes.

It is hard to actually think about being “alive.” People do not realize the blessing they has to walk on this earth and just be. So this quote really does mean something that is truly thought provoking. It is also something that we all should take to heart.

Have you even looked in to the mirror at yourself and you just kept staring and staring at your face and thinking “This is me” “Who am I” “Why am I here.” You begin to question if you are even really standing in the bathroom looking in the mirror. Thats what this quote reminds me of, That feeling of deep existentialism.
